At Coconut Grove, you'll have difficulty deciding whether you'd prefer an idyllic day at the soft Biscayne Bay waters or joining your friends for an afternoon out on the town. Perry's Steakhouse and Grill encapsulates the Coconut Grove vibe extraordinarily well. The two-level live jazz lounge serves incredible seafood fare, well-mixed cocktails, and a thoughtfully chosen wine list. Here you can lounge the night away in equal parts comfort and style. Coconut Grove also hosts some of the most sophisticated and classy dining experiences possible, and Fiola Miami is a case in point. The upscale bistro serves handmade seafood pasta and other Italian specialties, complete with spotless service under chandelier lighting that provides a truly world-class dining experience. At Sapore di Mare, you'll find even more Italian delicacies, this time from a charming locale just down the street from some of Coconut Grove's most beautiful outdoor settings.
The brand new Art Deco Mister C development from the Cipriani family, will also be worth a visit. Though the 20-floor complex will only host barely over 100 condos, it will also have a signature Mr. C Market & Café, La Bottega, a private pool terrace, and a Bellini Bar.
For your shopping fix, make time for the Coconut Grove Organic Market. The weekly Saturday open-air farmers market offers the freshest local variety of organic fruits and veggies, along with delightful raw foods and ever-increasingly creative vegan delicacies. At the CocoWalk mall, you'll find everything needed to sate your need for designer luxuries. If you've gotten your fill of boutique shops, quick-but-incredible eateries, and even its ultra-modern theater, you might have just as much fun from its relaxing outdoor courtyard.
Things to Do
Explore more of the gorgeous architecture Miami is known for at Coconut Grove's Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. The circa-1914 estate-turned-museum features artfully designed gardens and grottoes lined with tasteful sculptures and water features. You'll practically feel like you've been transported to a modern-day castle.
As though the coastal environment wasn't idyllic enough, wait until you get a view of The Kampong National Tropical Botanical Garden. The lush natural setting boasts no fewer than 50 different mango trees, along with no shortage of unique tropical plants. You'll be sure to spot some of Florida's beautiful wildlife along the way, and the exotic plants are tactfully contrasted with intricate sculptures and decorative features.
